Human Design is a deep and complex system, and similar to astrology, there are many different interpretations of each aspect depending on the teacher, individual experience, intuitive interpretation and more. The original source of all things Human Design came from the creator, Ra Uru Hu, who created the International Human Design School if you'd like the very original source information, as well as his book which is listed below, but there are now many different teachers providing incredible insights, each with their own unique flavour and twist on HD. My Human Design, by Jenna Zoe. This is for the very basics of Human Design, for the very beginner. Jenna has made HD easily accessible and understandable by everyone in the world, focusing on simpler aspects such as type, strategy, authority and profile.
The Design of You. Leah was my teacher/trainer of Human Design, and she also offers a a modern, fun, easily digestible style of Human Design which she describes as a "pop blend", rather than original teachings. This was an awesome way for me to really understand the basics of Human Design as a reader and comprehend how the system works, but I found myself hungry for deeper knowledge and understanding after the complete training so dived deeper into other aspects of HD on my own.
Amy Lea/My Constellation. Side note, Amy actually got me into ACOTAR so we have a fellow fantasy smut reader here 😂📚 Personally if I were to do a HD course all over again, now with more understanding of what each different teacher offers, I would enrol with her. Her explanation of Human Design is much more in depth and depicts a deep knowing of the whole system, aligning with my hunger for knowledge and wanting a comprehensive understanding of Human Design as a whole, not just what's digestible for the general public. She also teaches Astrology, and a blend of the two, which is just *chefs kiss* to me. If you have a 1 in your profile (such as 1/3 or 5/1), I'd recommend a more in depth training such as this, and you'll devour her posts.
Alexandra Cole. Oh man is this woman phenomenal when it comes to HD, she is a person who breathes Human Design and you can absolutely see that it is her entire purpose. She covers all aspects, and teaches her audience how to understand it all too. She's very present on her stories, always explaining everything, sharing insights, and always has intuitive nudges to share certain elements of her personal readings and learnings to inform us all of the incredible knowledge too. Each month on her instagram she has a new theme, whether it be love, children, career, and she goes in depth to show you how to read it in your chart. She's also very available in her DM's should you have any questions!
Sort of Spiritual. I only recently came across Katie's work and it has just wowed the sh*t out of me! She shares fun aspects of HD in meme form, but also goes in depth with the planets and gates (something you'll learn and understand if you book a reading with me!) I encourage you to devour her website and blog posts.
Erin Claire Jones. Also a recent follow, but a significant figure in the Human Design space with incredible insight.
HUMAN DESIGN BOOKS
The Definitive Guide to Human Design — The bible of Human Design, written by the creator of HD himself, Ra Uru Hu. It's expensive and intensive, I wouldn't recommend unless you intend to become a reader yourself as it's an actual textbook! This is my holy grail
Human Design by Jenna Zoe — A very simple, easy to read and digest book that just only covers type, strategy, authority, profile and gates.
Gene Keys by Richard Rudd — This is a really cool extension of Human Design, which can be seen as a whole different system (still incorporating all aspects of HD such as Kabbalah, I-ching etc)
HUMAN DESIGN APPS
It's incredibly useful to have your chart on hand via an app, every day I learn something new and wonder "oh is that in my chart?" or "what gate is my conscious Saturn in again?" and will refer to the below:
Neutrino Design — Shows an overview of your complete chart as well as a break down and description of each element, you can add multiple charts into your library (like checking your partners or children's charts) and also look at a time calculator if you're unsure of what exact time you were born to see how your chart differentiates dependant on time
My Human Design — Again only shows the basics and you won't be able to see your gates/planetary placements, but great for beginners!
